Working principle of household hair dryer

The electric hair dryer directly drives the rotor by the motor to drive the fan blades to rotate. When the fan blades rotate, air is sucked in from the air inlet, and the resulting centrifugal airflow is blown out by the front nozzle of the fan. When the air passes through, if the heating wire installed on the heating bracket in the tuyere has been energized to become hot, then blowing out hot air; if the selection switch does not make the heating wire energized to generate heat, then blowing out cold wind. Household hair dryer is here to achieve the purpose of drying and shaping.

The selection switch on the handle of the hair dryer is generally divided into three gears, namely, the closed gear, the cold wind gear, and the hot wind gear, and it is attached with signs in white, blue, and red. Some hair dryers are also equipped with a motor speed switch on the handle, which is used to select the size of the air volume and the temperature of the hot air. Various types of hair dryers are equipped with a rotatable circular air hood behind or on the side of the casing. Rotating the hood to adjust the cross-sectional size of the air inlet can adjust the air speed and the temperature of the hot air.

1. According to the usage method, there are hand-held and stand hair dryers. The stand-type hair dryer can be used on the table or hung on the wall, and you can blow your own hair.

2. According to the air supply method, there are centrifugal blowers and axial flow blowers. The centrifugal type drives the fan blades to rotate by the motor, so that the air entering the blower obtains the inertial centrifugal force and continuously exhausts the air outward. Its disadvantage is that the exhaust air does not flow through the motor, and the motor heats up higher; the advantage is lower noise.

3. The axial-flow motor drives the fan blades to rotate, pushing the air entering the blower into axial flow and continuously exhausting air outward. Its advantage is that all the exhaust air flows through the motor, the cooling condition of the motor is good, and the insulation is not easy to aging; its disadvantage is that the noise is large.

4. According to the materials used in the shell, there are metal type hair dryers and plastic type hair dryers. The metal-type hair dryer is durable and can withstand higher temperatures. The plastic type hair dryer is light in weight and has good insulation performance, but it is easy to age and has poor high temperature resistance.
